I teach Sukhashanti Yoga. The sequence was created by my beloved teacher Noah McKenna. It expresses his approach to Hatha Yoga. Sukha means comfortable and Shanti means peace. Noah designed this sequence by practicing on his own for a number of years without any interference from other teachers and students.
Sukhashanti gave me the freedom of movement and removed the frequency of injuring myself. After finishing my yoga teachers training course in Mysore I revolutionized my practice completely according the Sukhashanti philosophy. It let me to go really deeply within myself and connect all parts of the body and mind as one. It healed me and heals me every day as well as it taught and teaches me about myself and my own abilities. It helped me to understand and listened to my body and deal with my scoliosis. It feels like a wonderful journey that teaches me something new every day. The sequence emphasize that peacefulness and comfort is the natural state of yoga.
