Pranayama

Pranayama are breathing practices. Breath control which is the source of our prana (vital energy) is stored and used by our by us. Pranayama  is a Sanskrit word alternatively translated as “extension of the prāṇa (breath or life force)” or “breath control.

Through practicing pranayama we expand our available prana which helps us to reenergize our vitality. These practices are very potent and quite often ignored in Westernised approach to yoga which usually concentrates on Asana practice. The best way to experience Pranayama potency is to practice it for a month and notice the behavioural changes. Observation is one of the best teachers.
